Turo's Verified FSD Search Is Live: What Tesla Hosts Need to Know

As of October 28, 2026, Turo guests in the US can filter search results for Teslas with verified Full Self-Driving (Supervised) active. If you host a Tesla, here's exactly what changed -- and a rumor already circulating in host groups that isn't true.
How verification actually works
Hosts link their Tesla account to Turo, and Turo confirms FSD (Supervised) status directly through a Tesla integration -- not a self-reported checkbox. Verified listings get a badge, and guests can filter specifically for FSD-equipped Teslas. Turo says thousands of FSD-enabled Teslas were already listed at launch. Note this is a separate, unrelated integration from any GPS tracking platform on your car, MooveTrax included.
The rumor to kill: you can't charge extra for it
Some host group chatter suggests charging guests extra to activate FSD during a trip. That's not how this works: FSD (Supervised) cannot be sold as a paid Extra. If your listed Tesla has an active FSD subscription, it's simply part of the booking at no additional charge to the guest. The actual upside for hosts is demand and booking lift from the new search filter, not a line-item fee.
The free month, and what it costs after
Eligible US hosts get one free month of FSD (Supervised) starting November 16, 2026. To qualify: an AI4-equipped Tesla, a linked Tesla account, at least one completed Turo trip, and no active or recently paid FSD subscription (hosts who started paying after October 26 are excluded; leased vehicles don't qualify). After the free month, it's Tesla's standard $99/month.
The liability question Turo hasn't fully answered
FSD (Supervised) is a Level 2 driver-assistance system -- Turo's position is that guests remain responsible for supervising it at all times, and any incident follows Turo's normal claims process. What Turo hasn't clarified publicly: exactly how liability splits between guest, host, and protection plan in an FSD-engaged incident specifically. Until that's clearer, a few practical moves protect you: state FSD expectations plainly in your listing and pre-trip message, and keep documentation of the handoff.
Can you log when a guest turns FSD on? No.
Be honest with yourself here: FSD engagement is a signal internal to Tesla's own systems. No third-party tracker -- MooveTrax included -- can see whether a guest has FSD active during a trip. Even Turo's own integration only verifies that the subscription is active, not whether it's being used at any given moment.
What you can actually capture for a claims file on MooveTrax's $0 Tesla tier: timestamped location at roughly 1-minute intervals, speed alerts, geofence crossings, mileage, late-return and towing detection -- plus, through the Tesla phone key flow, a per-renter driver profile with configurable max speed and max power limits as a preventive control. None of that tells you whether FSD was engaged, but it's a real record of what the car was actually doing.
